Favourite free yoga and workout classes online

Lockdown has pushed many of us to implement a physical movement routine at home. There are now many options for free classes on Youtube, but here are my favourite classes that I highly recommend.

Yoga with Dagmar

Dagmar’s Yoga Morning Expanding Practice and Grounding Afternoon Yoga Practice were my first ever yoga classes and they are still the main classes that I practice over and over after many years. The practice is set up in Costa Rica close to the ocean and you can hear the waves in the background as you practice the moves, so you feel like you are in that wonderful place. The classes are intermediate but they are well paced, the instructions are clear and she provides helpful tips for alignment. Each class ends with a beautiful Shavasana and you truly feel well rested and relaxed afterwards.

14-Day Yoga Challenge with Fiji McAlpine

If you want to improve your yoga moves and become stronger then Fiji McAlpine is one of the best instructors for this, in my opinion. Fiji is part of DoYogaWithMe, a website that has lots of free yoga, meditation and challenges for beginners and the more advanced. You can find several of Fiji’s classes on YouTube and be prepared for intense practices, but you can start with the 14-Day Challenge. By the end of it, you will see a significant improvement in your moves and strength.

I have tried most of Fiji’s classes, and each one of them is good, but the class below is one of my favourites on YouTube.

Workout with B

I know Bianca personally from attending her classes and courses and it is always a joy to train alongside her. Recently Bianca launched her YouTube Channel and she provides lots of simple and effective exercises for a healthy mind and body. During the lockdown, I did several of Bianca’s workouts but most of us would benefit from the 20 min De-stress workout.
